Meditation is a cornerstone of life at Fairmead. In addition to our own regular and individual practice, we hold an open Peace and Meditation Evening every Tuesday when we invite people to join us in the quiet to follow their own practice. If you wish to join us, we ask you to arrive between 7.45 - 8.00pm so that we may all settle together. We send out Winged Prayer at 9.00pm, when we ask for healing to go to all who request it. People are welcome to stay for as little or as long as they wish.
A simple and profoundly effective spiritual practice to make a connection with the peace that is constantly present within every one of us. Taught in a class or one to one. In connecting with this heart of peace it is possible to relax at a deep level and keep close to this state through all of life.
When it is the intention of the mind to connect with peace; harmony of the whole being follws.
Being able to choose what to do with the mind helps to improve concentration and reduce stress in daily life.
Meditation Foundation takes about one hour to learn. You will then have a technique that you can practice with confidence for the rest of your life.
